Land Rover introduced the Defender in the early 1980s as a rugged, versatile four-wheel drive, all terrain vehicle which appeared as a car and also as a pickup truck. With cargo capacity for a wealth of equipment or baggage, the Defender could handle anything, which made it a great favourite in both military and civilian roles – many of which have preceded this latest release.
Registered E203 PWR from 1987, our long wheel base version is decorated in the eye-catching livery of British Gas at that time. Representing British Gas North Eastern, as depicted on the cab doors, the body is white with royal blue lower body and roof and featuring fine lighter blue/aquamarine stripes along the waist. The roof is enhanced with a silver spotlight and an orange roof beacon, both essential in some British Gas operating conditions, no doubt.
The interior is black and exterior trim features both black and silver finish. The matt black radiator grille has the Land Rover 110 name above in the centre while the spare wheel is fixed to the centre of the back door,
